Job Overview
Rage is seeking hard-working, customer-focused Retail Shop Assistants to ensure the smooth operation of in-store retail activities. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service, maintain store standards, and support the Store Manager in achieving sales and operational targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome customers and provide outstanding in-store service.
- Identify customer needs and recommend suitable products.
- Monitor customer activity to prevent shoplifting and ensure store security.
- Process sales transactions, refunds, and account openings accurately.
- Ensure operations comply with Rage Policies and Procedures.
- Maintain high housekeeping and store presentation standards at all times.
- Receive, check, and unpack stock, ensuring paperwork accuracy.
- Assist with weekly unit counts and stock control to minimise losses.
- Maintain stockroom organisation and standards.
- Support visual merchandising according to Rage guidelines.
- Process pack-up lists, recalls, and execute markdown instructions.
- Assist customers telephonically and handle walk-in queries professionally.
- Participate actively in training sessions.
- Ensure fire exits and escape routes remain unobstructed.
- Support the Store Manager in achieving monthly sales targets.
Requirements
- High School Matric (Required).
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Proficiency in using labelling/pricing equipment and POS systems.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional customer service orientation.
- Strong attention to detail.
