Requirements

  • Grade 12 qualification.
  • No prior work experience required.
  • Knowledge of basic work procedures, including cleaning equipment and maintaining a clean working environment.
  • Skills required:
    • Basic numeracy and literacy.
    • Good communication skills.
    • Sound human relations skills.
    • Ability to perform routine tasks.
    • Basic interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to liaise with stakeholders.
  • Willingness to work under pressure and function effectively as part of a team.
  • Willingness to work shifts and rotate duties.
  • Physically fit and prepared to perform physical labour.
  • Compliance with legal requirements to wear prescribed protective clothing.

Duties

  • Cleaning of floors, doors, walls, windows, beds, bed lockers, steps, and other surfaces.
  • Performing all assigned indoor and outdoor cleaning duties.
  • Operating cleaning equipment such as polishing machines.
  • Using cleaning chemicals correctly and safely.
  • Assisting with additional duties as assigned by supervisors.
