Purpose of the Role
The primary purpose of this position is to ensure that all site-specific security requirements are met and that client expectations are fulfilled efficiently, professionally, and in accordance with the Service Level Agreement (SLA).
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct regular inspections and patrols of the premises
- Monitor and control access at property entrances
- Authorize the entry and exit of people, vehicles, and equipment
- Search government and private vehicles upon entry and exit
- Search individuals entering and exiting the premises
- Register all personnel and equipment entering and leaving the site
- Secure all doors, windows, and exits at all times
- Observe, report, and document suspicious behaviour and incidents
- Assist individuals in need when required
- Submit daily surveillance and incident reports
- Report hourly activities to control and record in the Occurrence Book (OB) and Pocket Book
- Conduct breathalyser tests on client employees reporting for duty
Minimum Requirements
- Clear criminal record
- PSIRA registration with Grade C
- Grade 12 / Matric certificate
- Computer literacy
- Full firearm competency (Handgun, Shotgun, Rifle, and Hand Carbine) will be a strong advantage
