We are an Awning Company company that manufactures various types of Awnings.
We are based in Randburg. We need a new and experiencedSTOCK CONTROLLER. The position is available immediately.
The stock controller manages every aspect of stock keeping and movement ensuring that adequate stock levels are maintained and available when needed, and accurate records are kept for accountability and traceability.
We are looking for a HARD WORKING, TEAM PLAYER to join our team!
Duties & Responsibilities
Includes but is not limited to:
- Maintain adequate stock levels:
- Making sure we have the RIGHT stock WHEN we need it
- Identifying fast moving stock and NB stock items
- Continuously updating and verifying minimum and optimal stock levels
- Ordering stock before we run out, factoring in lead times
- Following up on back-orders
- Ensuring no over-stocking occurs
- Receiving stock:
- check for damages/discrepancies/quality issues
- book it into stores/bins
- follow paperwork processes
- follow correct channels for reporting if goods received are not satisfactory
- Picking of stock:
- picking from bins/shelves accurately
- updating bin cards, job cards and other documents
- keep meticulous records of serial numbers, movements etc.
- Issuing of stock:
- for sales,
- for dispatch
- to repairs
- keeping accurate records
- Packaging of stock for courier/transport
- Liaise with courier/transport – co-coordinating bookings and collections
- Perform weekly cycle counts
- Prepare for, and participate in bi-annual stock checks
- Trace and investigate stock discrepancies
- Implement and maintain Health and Safety policies and procedures for the department
- Maintain housekeeping ensuring area is clean and tidy at all times
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Matric
- Computer literate knowledge of Excel essential
- Driver’s license an advantage
