Role Purpose
ATM.SA is seeking a dynamic and transformational Academy Manager to establish, lead, and scale a community-based Academy aimed at upskilling matriculants into accredited learnerships and permanent employment within the Group.
This role combines operational leadership and strategic transformation, with accountability for programme delivery, stakeholder engagement, learner performance, funding compliance, and successful employment conversion.
Key Responsibilities
Programme Leadership & Delivery
- Lead the Work Readiness Bootcamp programme
- Oversee delivery of a 12-month accredited learnership programme
- Ensure curriculum alignment with BPO industry requirements
- Prepare learners for assessment centres and permanent placement opportunities
Learner Management & Development
- Monitor learner attendance, conduct, and performance
- Implement structured performance tracking systems
- Develop and manage remediation plans where required
- Provide coaching and mentorship support
Compliance & Reporting
- Ensure compliance with SETA requirements and funding agreements
- Maintain accurate reporting for B-BBEE and Skills Development audits
- Ensure programme alignment with the Skills Development Act
- Ensure adherence to South African Labour Law requirements
Stakeholder & Operational Management
- Manage relationships with partner schools and community leaders
- Oversee classroom setup and ensure a safe learning environment
- Support workforce planning aligned to business needs
Required Competencies
- Strong leadership presence and classroom authority
- Experience managing learnership or SETA-funded programmes
- Excellent coaching and mentoring skills
- High emotional intelligence and resilience
- Strong administrative and reporting capability
- Commercial understanding of workforce planning
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree or Diploma in HR, Education, Industrial Psychology, or related field
