Apprenticeship Programme Overview
This programme combines:
- On-the-job practical training
- Classroom-based theoretical instruction
Apprentices will learn both the practical and theoretical aspects of their designated trade and will be required to complete a Trade Test at an accredited Trade Centre at the end of the programme.
Key Responsibilities
Apprentices will be required to:
- Undergo learner readiness (pre-learning) assessments when required
- Participate in the RPL (Recognition of Prior Learning) assessment process
- Complete gap training and final Trade Test assessment
- Attend all scheduled training sessions (theory and practical)
- Submit assignments within agreed timeframes
- Complete the full programme (classroom, practical, and assessments)
- Avoid missing sessions without valid reason
- Co-sign a training commitment letter with the line manager
- Communicate learning concerns to the facilitator and HR
- Complete and sign the Learning Programme contract
Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must have:
- Matric / Grade 12 Certificate
- N3 in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Studies
