About the Role

The ATM Assistant and Consultant supports branch operations by:

  • Welcoming clients and creating a positive first impression
  • Managing queues efficiently
  • Assisting customers with ATM and self-service banking
  • Supporting basic transactions on digital and remote platforms
  • Delivering service aligned with Capitec’s customer-first standards

This role provides valuable exposure to banking operations, service consulting, and client engagement within a professional branch environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist clients upon arrival
  • Coordinate branch queues and improve client flow
  • Help customers use ATMs and self-service channels
  • Support clients with basic banking transactions
  • Apply service consulting principles in daily interactions

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong communication skills
  • Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Good interpersonal and relationship management skills
  • Confidence when engaging with people
  • Willingness to learn and grow

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 (National Senior Certificate or Vocational)
  • Basic numeracy and calculation skills
  • Understanding of customer service principles
  • Knowledge of bank branch environments (advantageous)
  • Knowledge of Capitec products and processes (advantageous)
  • Motivated and career-driven
