About the Better Champion Learnership

The Better Champion role focuses on delivering excellent branch-level customer service while gaining structured workplace training.

Purpose of the Role

As a Better Champion, you will:

  • Welcome and assist clients in the branch
  • Manage queues efficiently
  • Help clients use ATMs and digital/self-service banking channels
  • Support customers with remote banking solutions
  • Deliver outstanding service aligned with Capitec’s values

This programme provides practical workplace exposure and prepares candidates for future roles such as Service Consultant.


Minimum Requirements

Experience

Minimum:

  • No previous work experience required
  • Must have a Grade 12 National Certificate

Ideal:

  • Some customer service experience (retail, financial, or banking sector)

Qualifications

  • Grade 12 National Certificate
    OR
  • National Certificate (Vocational)

Knowledge & Skills Requirements

Minimum:

  • Basic calculation/numeracy skills
  • Confidence in engaging with people
  • Clear understanding of personal career goals
  • Willingness to learn and grow within banking

Ideal:

  • Basic understanding of branch banking environments
