
Introduction
An exciting internship opportunity is available within the Cape Town Branch. This 12-month programme offers hands-on experience in logistics, stock control, and loan set coordination within a fast-paced operational environment.
The internship may be extended for an additional year based on performance and operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Logistics & Loan Set Coordination
- Receive, pack, and dispatch loan sets to branches and hospitals
- Deliver and collect loan sets and stock from customers, airport, and couriers
- Perform on-call and shift duties (including after-hours collections/deliveries)
- Requisition loan sets and implants from other branches
- Follow up on flight details for urgent shipments
Stock & Instrument Control
- Inspect instruments for functionality and working order
- Record usage from loan sets accurately and submit to relevant departments
- Report missing or broken instruments
- Conduct weekly cycle counts
- Participate in stock takes
Administration & Customer Liaison
- Prepare required documentation for outgoing and incoming loan sets
- Assist with recording customer bookings
- Follow up with hospital staff and sales representatives regarding stock discrepancies
- Support general duties within the Central Sterile/Distribution Services Department (CSD)
Minimum Requirements
- matric certificate
- Ability to work after hours, night shifts, on-call, and weekends (non-negotiable)
- ERP system experience (e.g., Netsuite) advantageous
- Preference given to candidates residing near Sybrand Park, Cape Town
- Preference given to non-smokers
- Previous work experience (+1 year) advantageous
