Introduction
Lion Match Products (Rosslyn) is offering an NQF Level 2 Learnership in Production Technology aimed at empowering local, young, energetic, and previously disadvantaged individuals who aspire to build a career in a manufacturing environment.
This 12-month structured learnership is designed to develop practical skills and theoretical knowledge in match production, with the goal of building a strong internal talent pool for future technical roles within the plant.
Duties & Responsibilities
The primary purpose of the learnership is to provide comprehensive training in all aspects of match manufacturing, including:
- Exposure to production processes and plant operations
- Learning safe machine operation procedures
- Understanding quality control standards
- Participating in routine maintenance support
- Adhering to health and safety regulations
- Developing technical and problem-solving skills within a manufacturing environment
The programme combines classroom-based learning with hands-on workplace experience.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Grade 12 Certificate with Mathematics
- Technical orientation (N3, N4, N5, or N6) will be advantageous
- Must not have a completed tertiary qualification
- Must be between 18 and 30 years old
- Must not have participated in any previous learnership or internship
