Netcare invites unemployed individuals to apply for the Basic Pharmacist Assistant Learnership at:

Learnership Overview
This programme provides practical, hands-on pharmacy experience in a hospital setting under the supervision of a registered pharmacist.
Upon successful completion, learners:
- Gain practical pharmaceutical skills
- Can register with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC) as a Basic Pharmacist Assistant
- Build a career pathway in hospital or retail pharmacy
Key Responsibilities
Stock Control
- Participate in cyclical and full stock-take processes
- Assist with procurement and ethical stock control
- Process stock for internal departments and inter-clinic sales
- Manage stock according to Netcare Stock Management policy
Medication Dispensing
- Assist pharmacists with dispensing
- Pick and package medication under supervision
- Capture dispensed items to patient accounts
- Capture patient profiles and prescriptions on the Unisolve system
- Assist with monthly chronic medicine recalls
General Duties
- Ensure compliance with SA Pharmacy Council regulations
- Follow up on outstanding patient medication
- Perform administrative and housekeeping tasks
- Carry out duties assigned by the Pharmacy Manager/Pharmacist
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate
- Core Mathematics
- Physical Science
- Life Science
- Must be under 35 years old
- Must be unemployed
