Job Overview
A small, Northern Suburbs–based company located in North Riding is seeking an experienced and highly organised Office Administrator to manage the day-to-day administrative functions of the business. The ideal candidate will have strong computer literacy, sound administrative experience, and the ability to handle basic accounting and compliance-related tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the company switchboard and screen incoming calls professionally.
- Perform general administrative duties including typing and filing.
- Maintain organised digital and physical records.
- Prepare and draft Excel spreadsheets for basic accounting records and wage sheets.
- Assist with preparation of VAT, UIF, MIBFA, and related statutory schedules (advantageous).
- Provide general office support to ensure smooth daily operations.
Minimum Requirements
- 6–8 years’ experience in general office administration within a small business environment.
- Strong computer literacy, including proficiency in:
- Microsoft Word
- Microsoft Excel (essential – including spreadsheet drafting)
- Microsoft Outlook
- Knowledge of VAT, UIF, MIBFA, and related compliance documentation (advantageous).
- MATRIC CERTIFICATE
- Valid South African ID.
- Valid Driver’s Licence.
- Comprehensive CV supported by contactable references.
