Job Overview

A small, Northern Suburbs–based company located in North Riding is seeking an experienced and highly organised Office Administrator to manage the day-to-day administrative functions of the business. The ideal candidate will have strong computer literacy, sound administrative experience, and the ability to handle basic accounting and compliance-related tasks.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the company switchboard and screen incoming calls professionally.
  • Perform general administrative duties including typing and filing.
  • Maintain organised digital and physical records.
  • Prepare and draft Excel spreadsheets for basic accounting records and wage sheets.
  • Assist with preparation of VAT, UIF, MIBFA, and related statutory schedules (advantageous).
  • Provide general office support to ensure smooth daily operations.

Minimum Requirements

  • 6–8 years’ experience in general office administration within a small business environment.
  • Strong computer literacy, including proficiency in:
    • Microsoft Word
    • Microsoft Excel (essential – including spreadsheet drafting)
    • Microsoft Outlook
  • Knowledge of VAT, UIF, MIBFA, and related compliance documentation (advantageous).
  • MATRIC CERTIFICATE
  • Valid South African ID.
  • Valid Driver’s Licence.
  • Comprehensive CV supported by contactable references.
