A company operating in the aerospace, defence, and digital security sector is seeking experienced Warehouse Storemen to ensure effective stock control and material flow within the warehouse environment.
Job Purpose
To ensure accurate receiving, storing, issuing, and control of stock and materials, maintaining stock accuracy and supporting operational requirements through efficient goods flow.
Key Responsibilities
Receiving Function
- Receive inventory against purchase orders (raise GRNs).
- Check and count items against documentation.
- Verify shelf-life documentation and capture expiry dates.
- Liaise with Buyers and Suppliers regarding delivery queries.
Stores Function
- Kitting of production/sub-contractor jobs and PCB (electronic components) for PCB assemblers.
- Inspect kits picked for internal and external customers.
- Prepare kits for dispatch to subcontractors/PCB assemblers.
- Liaise daily with internal stakeholders (PGMs) and subcontractors.
Stores Function
- Receive PCB items against purchase orders (raise GRNs).
- Check and count items against documentation.
- Liaise with Buyers and Suppliers on delivery queries.
- Update PCB requirement spreadsheets and visual management boards.
- Perform Job Receipt function in Syspro.
- Issue PCB items against relevant jobs.
Inventory Control
- Perform daily cycle counts.
- Investigate stock discrepancies.
- Binning of inventory.
- Handle and issue electronic components in line with IPC/JEDEC J-STD-033A standards.
- Apply FIFO principles.
- Maintain excellent housekeeping practices.
- Monitor shelf-life expiry dates.
- Ensure compliance with ESD safety requirements.
Job Requirements
- Matric.
- Experience using a computerized inventory control barcode scanning system.
- Syspro experience (essential).
- Experience in an MRP environment.
- Experience handling electronic components.
- Valid South African Driver’s Licence.
