Our client seeks a Team Leader to join their production team in Port Elizabeth, EC. Responsibilities:
- Adhere to directives from Production Supervisors.
- Allocate tasks to General Workers/Operators.
- Ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
- Supervise the loading and unloading of raw materials and finished products.
- Maintain cleanliness in the workplace, production lines, and equipment.
- Complete records related to production, cleaning, and traceability, including food safety documentation.
- Provide packaging materials and consumables, assisting with reel changes as necessary.
- Supply production samples for laboratory analysis.
- Manage rework and the removal of waste from production areas.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of food products using the FIFO system.
- Cover staff during breaks.
- Assist with disciplinary actions involving staff.
- Ensure availability of resources for shift commencement and breaks.
- Conduct locker inspections and process verifications.
- Offer on-the-job training to production personnel.
- Enforce adherence to health, safety, and food safety regulations.
- Report any non-conformities or potential food safety hazards.
