Workshop Administrator Intern

Duties & Responsibilities

The Workshop Administrator Intern will support the efficient and smooth operation of the workshop by providing administrative assistance, managing bookings, and supporting daily workshop activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with scheduling and managing workshop bookings
  • Maintain accurate records of appointments and client interactions
  • Provide day-to-day administrative support to the workshop team
  • Handle incoming calls and emails related to workshop operations
  • Assist with filing, data capturing, and general office administration
  • Ensure the workshop area is well-organized and administrative systems are kept up to date

  • Strong organisational and time-management skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Computer literate (MS Word, Excel, and Outlook)
  • Ability to work under supervision while also taking initiative
  • Professional, positive, and eager-to-learn attitude

Minimum Requirements

  • Matric / Grade 12
  • Age between 18 – 28 years
  • Currently studying towards or recently completed a qualification in Mechanical Engineering or another Technical Qualification (advantageous)
  • Interest in workshop administration and operational processes
  • Currently unemployed
  • Must not have previously participated in a YES Programme
