Medipost Pharmacy is seeking two (2) experienced General Maintenance Workers to join our Facilities & Maintenance team in Pretoria. The successful candidates will be responsible for performing general building maintenance, repairs, and inspections across Medipost premises, ensuring facilities are safe, functional, and maintained to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct general building repairs and maintenance.
- Inspect, repair, and maintain tables, chairs, doors, and office fittings.
- Perform basic plumbing tasks, including:
- Toilets, basins, taps, showers, hydroboils, and water coolers
- Attending to blockages, leaks, running toilets, sealing, and silicone work
- Carry out basic electrical maintenance under supervision, including:
- Replacing light fittings, bulbs, tubes, and plugs
- Perform painting and plastering work.
- Conduct scheduled inspections of buildings, equipment, and generators.
- Assist with refuelling generators during and after power outages.
- Support reactive and planned preventative maintenance on plant and equipment.
- Assist the Maintenance Manager and Team Leader with facilities requests.
- Support housekeeping audit corrections.
- Assist with moving office furniture and equipment.
- Perform maintenance duties across any Medipost premises as required.
Minimum Requirements
- Matric (Grade 12)
- At least 2 years’ experience in general maintenance work
- Physically fit with good endurance and hand-eye coordination
- Ability to use maintenance tools and machinery safely
Advantageous / Ideal
- Previous experience as a General Worker
- Electrical Trade Test
- Code 10 Driver’s Licence
