Manufacturing Plant – South of Johannesburg
A vacancy for learnerships through the Government-incentivised Youth Employment Service (YES) Programme exists within a manufacturing plant based in the South of Johannesburg.
Programme Duration
- 12 months (1 year)
- Working days: Monday to Friday
- Training/classes will be attended on selected Fridays

Purpose of the YES Programme
The Youth Employment Service (YES) is a business-driven initiative that partners with government and the private sector to tackle South Africa’s youth unemployment challenge.
The programme provides previously disadvantaged youth with a first opportunity to gain meaningful work experience, enabling participants to demonstrate their abilities, develop a strong work ethic, and build credibility in the workplace.
Upon completion, participants will gain:
- Practical work experience
- A CV and reference letter
- Improved employability and access to future work opportunities
As part of the programme, learners will receive a smartphone preloaded with the YES app, which must be used to log activities and complete 21 work-readiness modules.
Who Qualifies
- African, Coloured & Indian youth
- Aged 18 – 35 years
- South African citizen
- Currently unemployed
- Minimum qualification: Grade 12 (Matric)

- Quality Controller
- Maintenance
- S.H.E (Safety, Health & Environment)
Benefits

- Minimum monthly stipend of R4 992.00 for 12 months

What’s Expected From You
- Commitment to completing the full 12-month programme
- Willingness to learn, grow, and gain work experience
- Positive, respectful, and professional attitude
- Punctuality and adherence to working hours
- Reporting absenteeism to your supervisor/manager
- Submission of valid proof for any absence (e.g. doctor’s note)
- Compliance with all company policies and procedures
- Attendance of all training provided by the company
You will be required to sign a Fixed-Term Contract of Employment and will remain an employee of the company until 28 February 2027.
