What is a Learnership?

A Learnership offers you the chance to acquire both theoretical knowledge and practical experience in a professional setting. Upon successful completion of the work-based learning program, you will receive an Occupational Certificate: Health Care Benefits Advisor.

While finishing the Learnership does not guarantee permanent employment, it provides invaluable experience that can serve as a springboard for your career, equipping learners with the skills needed for the workplace and enhancing access to greater employment opportunities within the medical aid administration and insurance sectors.

Requirements

• Possession of a completed Grade 12 certificate (Matric).
• Attainment of at least 40% in Mathematics or a minimum of 60% in Mathematical Literacy.
• Achievement of no less than 50% in English and an additional South African language.
• No previous work experience required.
• Must be unemployed and available to engage in a 12-month program from 1 May 2025 to 30 April 2026.
• Must be a South African citizen aged between 18 and 35 years.
• Ability to commute to the workplace is essential.
• Must not be enrolled in any tertiary studies (part-time or full-time) during the Learnership period.
• Must not have previously completed a Learnership.
• The submitted CV must include a certified copy of the Matric certificate and ID, dated no more than 3 months prior.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Participate in classroom sessions and practical on-the-job training, fulfilling tasks as required by the Momentum Group within the Learnership framework.
• Gain an understanding of the company’s products, policies, and procedures to excel in on-the-job training.
• Prepare a Portfolio of Evidence for submission to the Sector Education and Training Authority (SETA).
• Maintain logbooks for work-based learning activities.
• Complete formative and summative assessments at the designated achievement level.
• Exhibit proficiency in utilizing the Company’s systems and comprehending operational processes.
• Conduct oneself in a professional manner as an employee of the Momentum Group, embodying the Company’s values.
